All are welcome . . .

In one of her writings Mohja Kahf, an ethnic American poet wrote the following:

"To seek the living manifestation of spiritual and ethical values themselves, regardless of the label they come under, is to discover unexpected kinship... In this view, faith is no longer a matter of an allegiance to a specific community or identity, but a ceaseless search for the beautiful ways to realize the human potential in every given age and place.”

What a wonderful reason to join together and what a fertile common ground upon which to gather in the name of God and in service to one another, God's Holy creations.

In the beginning . . .

The Conference on Practical Christianity was founded in July of 2006 as the result of a meeting held in Greeneville, Tennessee. The purpose of the meeting was to devise a plan to preserve the legacy of Charles and Myrtle Fillmore. It was also reasoned that because we are primarily an educational movement with Jesus Christ central to our teaching our responsibility was to base our teachings and tenets in Christianity.

Although we are based in Christianity this does not mean that we do not honor and respect the pioneers and giants who were the beginnings of New Thought. Phineas Quimby, Mary Baker Eddy, Earnest Holmes, and others are among the innovators and metaphyicians we recognize as contributors.

All are invited to participate and to join and to bring your consciousness to the Conference on Practical Christianity.
